Attorney general speaking on human trafficking

OKATIE, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is scheduled to visit the coast to discuss human trafficking. Wilson is slated to speak Friday at a meeting of the Lowcountry Coalition Against Human Trafficking. The meeting is being held in Okatie, on the mainland side of Hilton Head Island. Last year, the Legislature passed a bill intended to strengthen South Carolina’s laws against human trafficking. The measure created a task force headed by Wilson. He says the panel is working on ways to combat the issue.
