Log Truck Driver Killed in Fatal Collision
Richland Co. (WOLO)– One person is dead and another hospitalized after a collision on Highway 601 Wednesday morning. Investigators with the highway patrol say around 11am Wednesday morning a logging truck crossed the center line on the bridge that crosses the Congaree River and struck an oncoming car. Troopers say the driver of the logging truck died at the scene, the driver of the car was taken to a nearby hospital.
