Rep. Sellers Facing Drunk Driving Charge

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A state representative’s run-in with the law comes to the surface nearly 4 months later. Orangeburg Democratic Representative Bakari Sellers is facing a drunk driving charge. Sellers made the announcement Wednesday. He told the Associated Press that he was pulled over along I-77 last October in Chester County following the USC-Georgia game. Sellers said he was on his way to Charlotte to visit family. That stop resulted in him receiving a provisional license, which allowed him to drive to work and back home. His license has since been full re-instated. Dash cam video of Sellers during the October stop surfaced this week, and Sellers has acknowledged it is him on the camera.
