Wal-Mart HR manager speaking at SC State Univ.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — A top executive for Wal-Mart Inc. is giving an address at South Carolina State University.

Human resources manager Michael Washington is speaking on the topic “Communications from a Business Perspective” on Wednesday at the Orangeburg school.

Washington retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2000 and has worked for Wal-Mart for more than a decade. Organizers of the address say he is responsible for Wal-Mart’s HR duties for the southeastern region.
