Man Charged in Pregnant Woman’s Death

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a pregnant woman whose body was set on fire. Richland County deputies have charged Tristan Gist with murder and death of a child in utero. They say Gist shot 22-year-old Dierra Fisher, then drove her body to Screaming Eagle Road Extension and set it on fire. Coroner Gary Watts tentatively released the name of victim, pending a positive ID from medical records. He says she was 21 weeks pregnant. The body was discovered last Thursday by firefighters who were responding to a brush fire.
