COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The 200 members of the University of South Carolina student Fashion Board are hosting their 5th annual fashion week.
University spokeswoman Frenche Brewer says the event starts Monday and runs through Thursday.
The keynote speaker is Amy Flurry, the former editor of the style magazine “Lucky.” A student designer showcase and canine fashion show benefiting the Columbia Humane Society are also on tap. The session concludes with a fashion show featuring spring trends from Columbia boutiques.
Scholarships are being awarded to members of the Fashion Board who have contributed to the organization.
The Fashion Board is sponsored by the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management. It seeks to provide members with fashion industry experience while giving back to the community.
