Graham raises $1M in 3 months; has $5.4M in bank

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham raised more than $1 million during the first three months of 2013 and now has nearly $5.4 million in the bank as he prepares for re-election in 2014.
Graham’s campaign released his fundraising numbers Monday. They show he had $4.4 million in the bank to start 2013 and spent about $200,000 during the first quarter of this year.
Graham’s campaign now has about $1.85 he could spend on every one of the state’s 2.9 million registered voters.
Some Republicans in South Carolina don’t think Graham is conservative enough, and the senator is expected to get a serious primary challenger as he runs for a third term in 2014.
No one has officially entered the race yet.
