USC Plans to Broaden Horizons

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — Starting in July, USC officials with the office of Economic Engagement will reportedly join other public Universities throughout the state who are reportedly getting ready to open Economic Development Offices. The University says the 4 buildings will manage USC’s Innovista Research district and house the latest technology and innovative medical research. A move that officials believe could open the college up to more than academics. The Innovista Research district debut back in 2005, but an economic woes kept the public-private partnership from progressing. Source: Associate Press
