2 die in head-on collision near Conway
CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Two men have been killed in a wreck near Conway.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports the wreck happened early Sunday morning on state Highway 905.
Thirty-nine-year-old Michael Lee Baker of Conway died at the scene.
Twenty-one-year-old Shane Michael Carter-Ward of Conway died at Conway Medical Center.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said both men died from blunt force trauma.
Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins said Baker was driving a car northbound on the road when he crossed the center line and struck a car driven by Carter-Ward.
