Hammond Walks Off With SCISA State Title

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Jae Roberts hit a 3-run walk-off home run in the 8th inning to earn Hammond a 7-4 win over Wilson Hall for the class AAA SCISA state championship at Carolina Stadium. Roberts has signed to play his college baseball for the Gamecocks. Hammond jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the 4th inning. Wilson Hall battled back to tie the game at 4 in the 5th. Roberts had struck out his two previous at-bats before hitting the title-winning shot into the seats down the left field line.
