Police Investigating Fatal Crash in West Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)- According to the West Columbia Police Department, a high speed accident in West Columbia has killed two people and injured another. The accident, which happened on Meeting Street in West Columbia, just before 11 o’clock Tuesday night, had parts of the roadway closed for several hours overnight. ABC Columbia News has learned that witnesses told authorities they saw the vehicle involved traveling at a very high rate of speed before it crashed into a Goodwill sign. Two people, who have not been identified were killed, a third person and passenger in the car was taken to the hospital. Police say that person is in critical, but stable condition.
