BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WOLO) — USC has cleared Jadeveon Clowney after looking into a report earlier this week that implied the Gamecock superstar would likely sign with rapper turned sports agent Jay-Z after his collegiate career. USC assistant athletics director Steve Fink released a statement at Steve Spurrier’s media golf outing Thursday afternoon. “Based on the facts USC has gathered, Jadeveon Clowney has not had any impermissible conversations nor has he received any impermissible benefits.” Jay-Z recently started Roc Nation sports agency and represents NBA superstar Kevin Durant and MLB all-star Robinson Cano. NCAA athletes may talk with agents while still in college but rules prohibit them from coming to an agreement with an agent or accepting any money or gifts.
