WINNSBORO, S.C. (AP) — A company that makes televisions is bringing 500 new jobs to South Carolina as it moves a plant from China to Fairfield County. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley announced the $7.5 million Element Electronics plant yesterday. Production should start in December.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Chip Wile is taking charge at NASCAR’s oldest superspeedway after Darlington Raceway President Chris Browning has resigned. International Speedway Corporation announced the move yesterday. Browning had headed the track “Too Tough To Tame” since May 2004.
