Applications due for DHEC leadership forum

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The Department of Health and Environmental Control is holding a series of leadership meetings. In partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency, DHEC is holding a total of four two-day forums in December, January, March and April. Applications are due Monday. During the workshops, attendees will learn about different leadership styles, community outreach and a review of some of DHEC’s more visible programs. Organizers hope the gatherings help attendees build upon existing leadership skills and learn more about regulatory roles and responsibilities. A committee will review the applications and select attendees, who can go to the forum free of charge.
