Gamecocks Lead Tar Heels 20-7 At Half

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The South Carolina Gamecocks lead the North Carolina Tar Heels 20-7 at half time of the Border Battle.

Connor Shaw and Dylan Thompson have both thrown for a touchdown and both on their first passing attempts.

Shaw’s touchdown pass was on the first drive on the third play of the game.  Mike Davis ran the ball twice before the 65 yard touchdown pass to Shaq Roland. 

Later in the first quarter, Dylan Thompson entered the game and the first play was a 29 yard touchdown pass to Kane Whitehurst. 

Two field goals for Elliot Fry, one in the first quarter between touchdowns and the other towards the end of the second quarter gave the Gamecocks their 20 points.
