Gamecocks To Wear All Garnet For UNC Game

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The South Carolina Gamecocks will wear all garnet for their Aug. 29 season opener against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The official Gamecock equipment Twitter account posted a picture of the garnet uniforms Tuesday.

South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier confirmed the news on Tuesday night during his call-in show.

The Gamecocks are 15-2 when wearing all garnet uniforms.

They last lost wearing garnet in the 2010 SEC Championship game against Auburn.
