Irmo’s Geter Earns Big South Weekly Honors

(WOLO) — Chad Geter earned Big South Conference defensive player of the week honors Monday for his role in helping Gardner-Webb upset #9 Richmond 12-10 last Saturday.

Geter, a 6-foot-2, 233-pound sophomore, totaled a career-best 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack to help Gardner-Webb limit Richmond to just 10 net rushing yards on 20 attempts.

The former Silver Fox standout was also named a national FCS All-Star by Sporting News.

Gardner-Webb (2-1) plays at #10 Wofford (2-1) this Saturday.
