Graniteville man Accused in Murder Suicide

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a 67-year-old Graniteville man shot and killed his 16-year-old grandson, then killed himself.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said Ronald Wilson had been released from jail three days before on a criminal domestic violence charge before Saturday’s shootings.

Authorities say Wilson shot and killed his grandson at his estranged wife’s home. Investigators say she escaped without injury and flagged down an off-duty police officer.

Carlton says the office saw Wilson shoot himself when he got to the home.

The name of the grandson has not been released. Autopsies have been scheduled for the people killed.
