North Augusta man shot to death at home

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (AP) — Aiken County officials say a North Augusta man has been shot and died after a domestic dispute at his home. Coroner Tim Carlton says 31-year-old Christopher Rowley was pronounced dead at Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta, Ga., shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Carlton said the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute around 2 p.m. Sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah would not say Wednesday night whether anyone was in custody. The shooting is still under investigation. An autopsy was planned Thursday in Newberry.
