Officials: Three Injured in Columbia House Fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Columbia Fire Department says a house fire has sent a mother and her son to the hospital.
Crews were called to the 2300 block of Pleasant Ridge Road Friday evening where they reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the second story of a garage.
They say both occupants were able to make it out of the home on their own. There’s no word on either of their conditions.
Crews add that a responding firefighter sustained non life-threatening injuries and was transported for treatment as well.
They were eventually able to put out the flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
