Purse Snatching In Richland Co.

Richland Co. (Richland Co. Sheriffs Dept.)-Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for larceny. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that just after 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 9810 Two Notch Road, 29223 (Food Lion) the victim was loading her groceries into her vehicle when the suspect approached and stole her purse from the shopping cart.   The Sheriff stated that the suspect then fled on foot. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that one suspect was involved in the larceny however, there are two seen using the stolen cards.   The Sheriff added that the suspect stole the victim’s black Coach Purse, credit cards, cash, and identification.  Sheriff Leon Lott stated that both suspects were captured on video surveillance equipment (still images from Walgreens (female) and Macy’s (male) and suspect vehicle are attached to this release).  Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects were captured using and attempting to use the victims’ stolen cards at area businesses: · Macy’s – $1,200.00 · Rite-Aid – $400.00 Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects are described as a black male, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and white sneakers – his accomplice is described as a black heavy set female, wearing all dark clothing.  Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspect vehicle is described as a Silver sedan possibly a Mitsubishi.
