Richland County Shooting Victims Identified
(WOLO) RICHLAND COUNTY,S.C., —
We now know the identities of two people shot in Richland county over the weekend.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says the first victim of a shooting Friday afternoon along Broad River Road has been identified as 49 year old Mark Edwards of Columbia. Authorities say he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities say the second shooting happened around 4:30 Saturday morning outside of Hot Rods Club in the 54 hundred block of Bluff Road. Deputies say they responded to the area after complaints of shots in the area. Once on scene, officials say they found 32 year old Charles David Whetstone suffering from a gunshot sound to the upper body. Authorities say he died a short time later.
