SC State Museum Celebrates 25 Years
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – You’re invited to a special birthday party Saturday.
The South Carolina State Museum is turning 25.
As a special present to you, general admission is dropping to $2.50.
There are plenty of activities planned as well.
The birthday party line-up will include:
- All day – Hands-on arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt inside the museum, balloon art and the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition 25th anniversary souvenir photo with the shark. There will also be special appearances by “Mr. Pig” from Piggly Wiggly and Star Wars impersonators.
- 10:30 a.m. and noon – Carolina Science Outreach will present their popular science theater show.
- 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – The Wurst Wagon will be outside the museum selling authentic German food.
- 1 p.m. – Halloween parade and costume contest.
- 2 p.m. – Shark’s name will be unveiled with a special presentation.
- 4 p.m. – Guests will have the opportunity to decorate their own birthday cupcake.
