SCE&G kicks off weatherization campaign
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Winter is just around the corner, and South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. is helping some Midlands residents get ready for the cold weather. Volunteers from SCE&G are kicking off their “Weatherization Blitz” on Tuesday. During the effort, three Midlands homes are being made more comfortable and energy efficient with changes including caulking, weather-stripping, insulating and replacing windows. Lt. Gov. Glenn McConnell will be at the homes Tuesday, along with representatives from Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and the Aiken/Barnwell Community Action Agency.
