USC prez’s wife has 2nd cookbook for the young

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) âone space€one space” The wife of the University of South Carolina’s president wants young people to eat better and learn to grow more of their own food.
Patricia Moore-Pastides is building on her passion for Mediterranean cooking in her second cookbook full of recipes inspired by friends, family and students.
She uses her background as a public health professional to explain the benefits of vegetables people can grow in their backyards, or in pots on their porches. And she wants families to have fun doing it.
Moore-Pastides helps her husband Harris by acting as hostess for the state’s largest public university.
And she is using the proceeds from her books to build gardens on all of the university’s 14 around the state.
