USC RB Davis Tweets About Ankle

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina star running back Mike Davis has tweeted about the status of his injured ankle.

Davis suffered what looked to be a serious leg injury in double overtime of the Gamecocks’ dramatic win over Missouri Saturday night, but later tweeted that he is ok.

“No ice no nothing the ankle is good people,” tweeted Davis Saturday night. 

The sophomore was able to walk off the field after the injury.

Davis had 51 yards on 19 carries against Missouri and caught ten passes for 99 yards. 

South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier said Davis will probably miss a majority of practice this week with a foot sprain, but is hopeful he should be good to go against Mississippi State this weekend.
