Volunteers cleaning up some SC highways

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) âone space€one space” Volunteers are fanning out across the Midlands this weekend to pick up litter from some area highways. On Saturday, volunteers with Keep the Midlands Beautiful are cleaning up trash from highways and streets throughout Lexington and Richland counties, as well as the City of Columbia. Organizers ask drivers in those areas to slow down if they see signs about the events or litter pickup volunteers wearing orange vests. In case of inclement weather, the cleanup will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16.
