Over 190,000 South Carolinians Without Power
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Power outages are pouring in statewide. Electric Cooperatives are reporting 100,000 people are in the dark, as of noon Thursday, Crews have called in additional help from neighboring states to help, those crews are expected to arrive in the state within the next 24 hours. SCE&G has more than 95,117 people without power. The largest outages are in Dorchester County with 38,218 residents in the dark and Aiken County where 14,355 residents do not have power. Midlands counties on the SCE&G system have the following outages: Lexington – 86, Orangeburg – 6,572 and Richland – 24.
