SC School Bus Driver Cited Twice in 1 Day
UNION, S.C. (AP) _ A Union County school bus driver has been cited for two accidents in one day. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says 61-year-old Ronald Holden of Union received two citations for driving too fast for conditions. At around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, troopers say Holden’s school bus ran off the road and hit a tree. More than 20 students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Holden was driving the same school bus at 4:45 p.m. Thursday when he hit the back of a car that was slowing down. Highway Patrol Cpl. Bill Rhyne says no students were on the bus at the time of the second crash.
