Winter weather advisory posted in northern SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Part of South Carolina is getting a taste of winter just before spring arrives.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of the northern part of the state until 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters say black ice and patchy freezing drizzle is possible from Spartanburg to Rock Hill.

The state’s major utilities report no problems Tuesday morning.

Early morning temperatures ranged from 31 in Rock Hill to 46 in Sumter.
