USC drama alumnus Colter speaks of varied career

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A stage, screen and television actor is scheduled to appear at the University of South Carolina to discuss his career in New York and Hollywood.

USC alumnus Mike Colter appears Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Longstreet Theatre. The event is sponsored by the Department of Theatre and Dance and is free and open to the public.

Colter gained critical acclaim for his role as boxer Big Willie Little in the Academy Award-winning film, “Million Dollar Baby.”

He has also appeared in the films “Zero Dark Thirty,” ”Men in Black 3,” and “Salt.” His television credits include “American Horror Story,” ”Criminal Minds,” ”The Following,” “Law and Order: SVU” and “ER,” among others.
