Mother Accused of Neglect Issued Bond

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– A mother charged in the death of her five month old son, went before a judge Wednesday. 28 year old Jennifer Coles is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child. In bond court today, we learned that a heart monitor for the child was allegedly in the Coles car when the baby died. A judge issued Coles a $10,000 surety bond. Authorities say the monitor would’ve alerted Coles and CPR could have been performed. Investigators say the case was reported to DSS. Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott will hold a news conference Wedensday afternoon to discuss the charge against Coles.
