(WOLO) — Former Irmo High School quarterback David Olson is coming back to South Carolina to play for his favorite team. The Stanford graduate is transferring to Clemson and will be immediately eligible to play his senior season. Olson did not attempt a single pass in his career as a back-up quarterback with the Cardinal. In his senior season at Irmo, Olson threw for 1857 yards and 18 TDs. The former Yellow Jacket gives Clemson some much needed depth at quarterback after Chad Kelly was kicked off the team. Olson will join senior starter Cole Stoudt and talented true freshman Dashaun Watson at QB for the Tigers. Click to watch the story from the Wednesday ABC Columbia News at 11.
