Draft Day: Clowney Number 1?

(WOLO) — Draft Day is here, a little late compared to previous years, but it is finally here. The first round of the NFL Draft will begin tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Where will Jadeveon Clowney be picked; number one to the Texans or will Houston go in a different direction? Will a team trade up to draft the highly touted former South Carolina Defensive End? The potential number one pick hasn’t shied away from telling everyone he wants to go number one. “I don‘t think they‘re going to pass,” said Clowney, during a Play 60 predraft media event in lower Manhattan. “I think it will be (me). If I have to (go) No. 2, I‘m going to be upset. I‘m going to have to do something about it.” Clowney arrived in New York City a few days early for the draft participating in the previously mentioned Play 60 event and then appearing on the Tonight Show Staring Jimmy Fallon yesterday. Clowney, along with several other projected first rounders including Clemson’s Sammy Watkins, took time out from their New York City schedules to join Fallon for Wednesday night’s show. Clowney seemed to enjoy his first late-night TV appearance. When the studio audience gave him loud applause during his introduction Clowney joined in with a yell. Later in the show Clowney sat down with Fallon. The host asked, “Are you a millionaire?” Clowney answered, “Not yet. I’m still broke.” Clowney said he plans to buy him mom a house with his new NFL money. Clowney timed Fallon running the 40-yard dash. Clowney timed Fallon running it in 6.9 seconds. Clowney clocked a 4.53 at the NFL combine.
