Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting in Lee County

BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ Deputies say they have a suspect in custody in the shooting death of a man in Lee County earlier this week. Authorities said 30-year-old Jessie Slater III was found dead Monday night on a walking path between homes. Deputies say two days of investigation led them to the suspect. They did not release the suspect’s name. Investigators say they are talking to other witnesses and there could be more arrests.
