Rabid Cat In Saluda County
Saluda County (WOLO)- A Saluda County resident is receiving treatment after D-HEC officials say they were exposed to rabies by a cat. D-HEC officials say hundreds in our state undergo treatment for rabies every year. They say to avoid wild animals acting tame or tame animals acting wild. If you think you are exposed through a scratch or bite, immediately wash the wound with soap and water, get medical attention, and report the incident to D-HEC.
