Kennedy Makes Move From Sumter To Irmo

(WOLO) — Reggie Kennedy is officially the new football coach at Irmo High School. Kennedy was approved in a school board meeting Monday night to be Bob Hanna’s successor. Hanna recently retired after leading the Yellow Jacket program for 20 years. Kennedy comes to Irmo fresh off an appearance in the Class AAAA state title game in his only year at Sumter. The former Blythewood, Orangeburg-Wilkinson and Fairfield Central coach told the Sumter Item Monday he didn’t plan on leaving Sumter after just one year, but the Irmo opportunity was too good to pass up.
