Suspect Arrested After High Speed Chase

Kershaw Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says they’ve arrested a convicted felon for leading deputies on a high speed chase with three small children in the car. Matthews says Wednesday afternoon a deputy attempted to stop Darius Pollard for speeding. Investigators say during the chase Pollard lost control of his car and was involved in an accident. According to Matthews, Pollard tried to run away but was arrested a short time later. Deputies say the children, an infant, a two year old and a three year old, were not injured in the accident.
