8-year-old dies in Clarendon County crash

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – An accident takes a deadly turn in Clarendon County. Troopers say a Ford truck went off Interstate 95 Thursday afternoon and hit a tree. An eight-year-old girl died at the scene, and a four-year-old boy was airlifted to a local hospital. The 20-year-old driver was also airlifted after crews pulled her from the truck. Their conditions are not known. The South Carolina Highway Patrol’s MAIT team continues to investigate.
