NWS confirms tornado touchdown in Orangeburg Co

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – After surveying damage in Orangeburg County, the National Weather Service has confirmed an EF0 tornado hit the area on Monday night. It was on the ground for about a mile-and-a-half, which lasted about two minutes. Here’s the path that it took: The tornado started near Ditch Bank Road, across Old School House Road, and then crossed to Ebenezer Road, near Fiesta Court. Wind speeds were between 75 and 85 miles per hour, causing branches to snap and some trees to uproot.
