Coroner: Shooting Victims Killed in Murder-Suicide

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says the crime involving two people who died from gunshot wounds Friday morning, was the result of a murder-suicide. According to Watts, at 5:40 Friday morning, 25-year-old Jeremy Mickens shot and killed 23 year old Aja Robinson in a parking lot on N. Main St., near the corner of Sunset Rd. They say Mickens shot Robinson twice in the upper body before shooting himself once in the head. They both died at the scene. The shooting remains under investigation by the Columbia Police Department.
