Man killed, wife injured in Columbia shooting
COLIUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County sheriff’s deputies say a man has been killed and his wife injured after the woman’s brother started shooting in a Columbia apartment.
Investigators said the shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities have not determined what led 20-year-old Dexter Myers to start shooting.
Deputies say they arrested Myers around noon. He has been charged with murder and attempted murder. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
Investigators say the brother of the man killed also was in the apartment. He was not hurt.
The names of the victims have not been released.
