2 killed, 6 hurt in Sumter County crash

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – An accident in Sumter County has taken two lives and sent six others to the hospital. It happened Sunday night near the intersection of Highway 15 and James Street. Troopers say a Lincoln Town car crossed the center line, causing a Ford Expedition to strike it in the driver’s side. The driver and passenger in the Lincoln Town car died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver and front -seat passenger in the Ford Expedition were airlifted to a local hospital. Four other passengers in that car were also injured and treated. The accident remains under investigation.
