Saving Fort Jackson

Columbia, SC (WOLO)-Supporting Fort Jackson. The Columbia Chamber has announced an online petition drive to show the U.S. Army how much the country’s largest installation base means to our local economy. The army projects it will reduce troop levels from 490-thousand to 450-thousand by the end of 2015. Fort Jackson could see a reduction of 31-hundred positions… almost half the army’s workforce.
