USC Up On East Carolina 30-23, 4th Quarter

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) –The South Carolina Gamecocks lead the ECU Pirates 30-23, in the fourth quarter. ECU got going early on, racking up 114 yards on their first two drives which allowed them to jump to a 6-0 lead behind two field goals from Warren Harvey. The Gamecocks then responded with a 36 yard touchdown run from Mike Davis at the end of the first quarter to grab the lead 7-6. ECU kicked off the second quarter by responding with an 81 yard drive, capped off by a 10 yard Chris Hairston touchdown run. The Gamecocks would then add two field goals from Elliot Fry (54 & 42) along with another Mike Davis touchdown run. ECU would add another field goal with 4 seconds left in the half. The Gamecocks had 225 yards on 38 plays. ECU had 277 on 39 plays, out-gaining the Gamecocks. Mike Davis has 8 carries for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns.
