Pack of Cigarettes Sparks Fight

(WOLO) BEAUFORT,S.C., — A 45-year-old Beaufort woman has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend over a pack of cigarettes. Beaufort police tell local media outlets say Mary Jenkins was arguing with her boyfriend in the bedroom of their apartment at about 11:35 p.m. Friday. Chief Matthew Clancy says Jenkins left the room, returned with a kitchen knife and stabbed her 45-year-old boyfriend twice in the leg. Jenkins has been charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. It wasn’t known if she had an attorney. Authorities say her boyfriend was taken to the hospital, and his condition was not immediately available. (Source: Associated Press)
