SC State Museum bank grant allows $1 entrance fees

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The South Carolina State Museum in Columbia now has a reduced general admission of $1 on the first Sunday of each month.

Museum spokeswoman Anna Kate Twitty says the first reduced fee day is Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. It is paid for by a donation from First Citizens Bank.

Normally general admission is $8.95 for adults ages 13 to 61; $7.95 for seniors 62 and older; and $6.95 for children three to 12. Infants two and under are free.

General admission includes entry to four floors of permanent exhibits but not into a major exhibit, planetarium show or 4D theater films. They will be $4 to $12 depending on the number of shows one chooses.
