COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — According to the Department of Social Services file on the Jones family, there were three reports regarding the Jones children. The first was a neglect allegation that dated back to September 2011. The second and third were abuse accusations, accusing Tim Jones, that started in May 2014. According to the report, there was never enough evidence to permanently remove the children from the home. The five children, ages 1-8, disappeared on August 28, 2014 after their father, Tim Jones, picked them up from school and daycare. On September 9, 2014, the children were found dead in Alabama. According to authorities, their bodies were found in plastic bags. A cause of death nor a motive for the killings have been released. Tim Jones is back in South Carolina, he faces 5 counts of murder.
