Father accused of killing 5 children heading back to SC

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A Midlands father accused of killing his five-children is expected to arrive back in South Carolina Thursday. Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department made the trip to Mississippi Wednesday to help with the extradition process. Timothy Jones Junior was behind bars after being arrested over the weekend for a DUI. He was stopped during a checkpoint Saturday. Once back, Jones will go to the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Authorities say they made that decision over taking him to the Lexington County Detention Center for safety purposes.
