COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — “It’s heart wrenching, because I’m no different. When I look back at it, I see me all over again,” says Jennifer Gist-Barley, domestic violence survivor. It’s the elevator video that shocked the nation. The now-wife of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice unconscious after, authorities say, Rice punched her. For Gist-Barley domestic violence has forever changed her life. “The scars are still there, emotionally and mentally, the scars are still there,” says Gist-Barley She’s now five years free from abuse that lasted five years. “I am a living testimony that it can be done. You and your children can live safe and happy and begin to recover as a family again,” says Gist-Barley
